What is happening in South Sudan is not very different from what happened in Kenya, after independence the ruling elite forgot what the freedom fighting was all about and instead went ahead to fill the white mans boots and titles, they made sure that no one competed with them, they literaly killed opposition,no one dared question their shortcomings, reminding them why we were agitating for freedom beared a death sentence. Salva Kiir has grown horns,he has been deluded by power, the two decades of war by the late Dr.J. Garang together with him now seems to have lost meaning,he is now butchering his comrades and cannot pity his citizens who are dying in their thousands,to me Salva Kiir is a let down,a president who cannot cede ground for the life of his people doesnt deserve to be president, this doesnt in any way mean i vindicate Machar, this has been the undoing of African leaders,it is very sad that more than 10,000 people have so far died,it is equally saddening that Ugandan troops are fighting alongside Kiirs government troops,Museveni should instead be using his troops to hunt down Kony,he should stop his overtures in the East African region,we should not be forced to live with his warlord aura ,there are many strong nations that dont derive pleasure in taking advantage of conflict in neighbour countries. This is why we need Young Emerging African Leaders to prepare themselves to salvage our continent. #IStandUpforAfrica
