hey lovely friends!!! heres another passport status update: today we went to the embassy in kuala lumpur, in full control (like a BOSS) of the train system now...arrived without a hitch...the photo copies of our passports serving as i.d. to get us in the door...THEN i remembered that in my extreme paranoia over possibly losing our last credit card, i had hidden said credit card from myself, and did not have the ability to make a withdrawal to pay the passport fee... no biggie... we turned in everything else, she printed copies of the scanned documents, and the lady said, come back in the morning to pay and sign the apps, and you should have your new emergency passports, with one-year validity, by the same afternoon, or possibly, the following morning.. !!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) yaaaaaaay!!!! moral of the story: dont believe anything you read on government websites (which stated they would only process once they had the ORIGINALS and then it would take 10-days)...and remember to breathe...its all part of the adventure... :) love yall
