i need some help regarding reintroductions. I had separated Lightning from my other rats due to him becoming extremely aggressive to both rats and humans. He calmed down recently and has been a total sweetheart so I decided to try reintroducing. So far it has gone great, he has shown no real aggression though he was defensive yesterday. I decided to put all four rats together in the tub today and Jorah groomed Lightning and then Lightning groomed him back in return. I decided to move them to my bed since they were doing so well and Lightning was actually trying to interact with them. So I decided Id let them run around in the cage with supervision since its a DCN and I could very easily separate them if needed. Lightning wasnt getting puffy, wasnt attacking anyone and was being very sweet. I left them in there for about ten minutes but Lightning started marking everything and rubbing up against the cage bars. He still wasnt showing signs of aggression but this worried me greatly because this is what he used to do when he was aggressive. I never got him neutered either. Do I have to worry about this behavior? Is it possible to reintroduce him without neutering or will he only ever be able to visit them? Could it have anything to do with the girls cage being directly above them?
