'With time and a little experience, I have come to realize in moderate terms that certain issues lose their essence and sense of direction when publicly discussed on facebook or other similar social forums especially in the Nigerian context where some persons who have just read few pages of a book or article without actually knowing its true and deep contents immediately come online to make a reading disturbance of it. I used to disturb myself with advising and attempting to clarify these set of humans who engage in this pseudo intellectual rush for supremacy until I recently got a change in calling and purpose. You cannot make a positive change if you are not well grounded in the subject you speak of, if you adopt the tools of insults, insolence and self-adulation. Unpolished and provocative words makes a seemingly good points absolutely useless and pointless. If you preach humanism, be humane in approach. Pride is good if you know what it entails and use it well otherwise it becomes folly. Speak to know and not speak with a judgmental sense as though you have got to intellectual apex. Logical charity will be shown to you if you show that to others and if you exhibit intellectual humility which is paramount for a good scholar. Many people are more scholarly than you and as such you will sure be an intellectual mess if these superiors deal crudely to you just as you do to those who you believe to be intellectual weaklings. A true intellectual knows what humility is all about and shows it in his or her works. A little information can get you all excited and make you feel you are at the summit of knowledge while a reasonable amount of information gives you a sense of caution and humility in conduct.' -Iweajunwa Princewill
