--------------Airtel SUCKS------------ My Airtel connection number - 8800234877 is active on CUG plan. IT has been operating on the same plan for more than 2 years now and when I put the request for number porting to a different Network. Airtel people gave me the the worst treatment I can ever think of especially when I am client to them. They closed my number porting request without conveying any information back to me. Calling Airtel Customer Service Representative 198 number of times didnt help they were not willing to help saying the request is in process/closed and all different reasons. They even asked me to go to customer care center as they cannot provide me any help, this would mean a complete day off from office for me. After no help from Airtel CSR for releasing my number I decided to record the conversation with CSR and told the CSR executive clearly that the conversation is being recorded. With the fear of being recorded with names they informed me that my number was registered as a Corporate Number and so would require companys consent on a written letter. Airtel CSR booked the request to cancel my number which I am using for long(misguiding me that it is the procedure for porting out, realizing the trap I cancelled the request). When cancellation request can be put without companys request why cant porting out request can be put in the same manner. When I asked Airtel CSR to book a complaint for mistreatment, for conveying false information, CSR told me they arent authorized to book any complaint for this I need to send email to [email protected] from which I am not getting any reply even after repeated reminders. Question to Airtel people: When the number is registered under my name, bill is being generated on my name, I am paying the bill, my address proof and was shared as verification document, how this can be a corporate connection and Why companys consent should be required for changing the way I want to operate my personal number. Just activating a CUG plan doesnt makes it Corporate property, why my company is supposed to guide the monitoring of this number. I have all the recording with Airtel CSR with me. Airtel totally sucks. I have complained of this issue several times to [email protected] - (no reply till now to any of the email around 10 emails sent to them) consumer cell core.nic.in - (complaint number - 99694.4.2014 - in pending state) TRAI at [email protected] ( no updates even on repeated reminders) [email protected] - (Link mentioned at page airtel.in/partnerworld/Ombudsman_Policy.htm) When sent complaint email to this email id got following reply after 2 days: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: Technical details of permanent failure: The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect.] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Another thing I realized while my interaciton with Airtel CSR. While Airtel CSR offered me a better CUG plan(than the one that was currently running on my number). To my best knowledge, the plan that was offered to me should have been active on my number. CSR told me that in March an expensive plan was applied to my connection by Airtel person on their own without my consent and that is the usual thing they have do for many corporate connections. Just an SMS is sent to the customer, no consent is asked for. I do remember getting a SMS of plan update, when I asked CSR that time itself they told me there was no billing plan update done to my connection and the SMS might have sent by mistake. This has resulted in almost doubling of my bill which I wasnt aware of till a few days back. I have complained about this to TRAI on above email with no update as of now. Any one who wants the copies of emails/recorded telephonic conversations please share email ids. I would request you all to share this, add more and more people and Airtel executives to this post and send emails to above links asking why no action is being taken on these complaints.
