Let us jointly improve this vision by adding/deleting/modifying as appropriate....Prem sabhlok Vision of Tomorrow’s Indiaas visualized by WE the Sovereign People of India After over six decades of independence India i.e. Bharat has developed many social, political, ethical and even religious problems. In the name of Socialism, we started deviating from Gandhian philosophy where state at its best is a necessary evil and in its worst state is intolerable. Our socialism has led to government becoming as Leviathan curtailing liberty, denying timely justice, security and even encouraging openly large scale corruption in all areas of human activities, breakdown of law and order and many other evils. Socialism has made our politics as kachra(garbage) politics. Lately no one knows who is in control of the Central government machinery. There is no coherent strategy to deal with mounting problems except to remain in power by playing blame game of Coalition Dharma. Full blown economic crisis is on our hands. Flood of scams is threatening government to fight before being drowned. The incumbent Prime Minister- an accidental politician, is accountable but authority does not seem to lie with him. Lately democratic Collective Responsibility has gone adrift. Moral fiber of society has become extremely weak and vulnerable. Power is shifting to some dynastic leaders who are developing a halo around them and they are considered political adhesives to the party members. Without them political party will breakdown. Survival of party lies in the survival of dynasty. Socialism has created tempers which are getting explosive and their fuses very short giving indication of some kind of anarchy or even mobocracy around us. In India it is not majority rule but party rule which is getting restricted to one family. It is high time “WE” the People of India jointly decide the vision of future India so that our children could live in India where politics is the noblest Endeavour. Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of non violence of the strong will be guiding principle against the present highly distorted non violence of the weak by our confused leaders. India can become one of the strongest nations of the world if we follow non violence of strong like divine Nature (Prakrti)which is very strong but largely peaceful. Prakrtit becomes forceful only when eternal laws of Nature are flouted. Since Indian democracy has not failed but Socialism has failed us, Indian rudderless confused non Gandhian Socialism should be thrown in the dustbin and replaced with liberal social, political and economic philosophy of Vedas, Arthshastra of Kautilya and mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Ramrajya- a perfect welfare state where government will perform only primary functions and encourage its citizens to become vigilant and proactive for social welfare and participate actively in politics as the noblest Endeavour. It is “WE” the People of India who create a state to defend us and form a government as per the Constitution of India. We need strict rule of law to prevail. The stunned silence of intellectuals and well wishers is encouraging mafia politics, rape epidemic and all possible social and political evils. Election reforms are badly needed so that not a single rapist, criminal and anti social person gets into Parliament/State Assemblies and right thinking intellectuals could get elected and become accountable. The government will perform only major primary functions like fool proof security of citizens from external aggression/internal disturbances, perfect law and order, external affairs, justice without delay and interstate world class infrastructure. Government will ensure that all Kashmiri Hindus- the displaced refugees will go back to their homes in Kashmir. Government will not deal with any commercial activities like present loss making PSUs etc. Unnecessary laws and restrictions in form of licenses, permissions should go and the Central Planning Commission originally created on Soviet (erstwhile USSR) model will be abolished. Only self rule (Swaraj), Janlokpal, and participatory democracy will be encouraged. The words Socialism added later during Indra Gandhi’s period will be removed from the Constitution of India. Secularism and not Socialism will be guiding principle of governance. Government will give guidelines that no religious activity will lead to any social disorder in society or threat to the unity and integrity of the state. A high level Harmony Committeeconsisting of members from all major religions will ensure that religious fanaticism is not allowed to spread in the state. All social welfare activities for the poor/below poverty line (BPL) will be through local governments, Ward committees and not through bureaucracy or political parties. Each Ward will ensure that there is no BPL citizen in its area of maximum 5000 population. Steps will be taken to strengthen Local governments and abolish colonial model of outdated bureaucracy like Patwari, Tehsildar, Deputy commissioner etc. Local government of elected councilors will appoint CEOs on hire and fire basis. Thus administration, world class infrastructure in the rural and urban areas will be managed by experts and not by colonial model of outdated IAS Bureaucracy. A School of Public Administration will be established. Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration Mussoorie has failed to produce world class Administrators. There will be zero tolerance to any kind of corruption and each government functionary/elected member will be accountable for all the tasks allotted to him/her. Corruption is leading to generation of black money, which is being used during general elections for purchasing votes of the poor/BPL eligible voters. This black money is also being used to manipulate voters’ lists. To curb growth of Black Money, all sale and purchase of land, immovable property etc will be through nationalized Banks and no cash transaction as per the global practice prevailing in democracies like USA, U.K, Australia etc. All black money stashed by Indian Citizens in safe havens like Switzerland etc will be brought back to India as public money and utilized for creating world class infrastructure. World class Universities with research centers will be established so that our best talents do not go to USA, UK, Australia for studies and employment. The Litmus Test of Future India will be NRIs will start coming back to India and students from USA/Europe/Australia etc will come to India for studies Let us work and make our... Government- Proactive, Media- Reactive, Political Parties- Elective, Voters- Selective, Crowds- Preventive, Religions- Constructive, Youth- Creative.... bestregards.gif
