This means they were worship self instead of the Savior. Was this not the sin Jesus cited concerning backslidden Laodicea who was about to be forever rejected (spued)? (Revelation 3:14-22). Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. Ezekiel 16:49-51 - pride, - fulness of bread (excess), - abundance of idleness (like many among us who are engrossed in sports, games, the futile foolishness of entertaining the god of self) - neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy (they werent giving as they should have been) - committed abomination (fornication) before me Its only then that they committed abomination (fornication) before me and so then the LORD says He took them away as I saw good.
