------Playstation One Emulator Tutorial------ By Keith Massey! So I was asked how to set up epsxe emulator today! And I thought I would share it here if anyone else is interested in getting the old PSx/1 working again. Its quite easy if you follow along. Cheers! So lets see if he can get it working. :D Ok dude goto emu paradise Get epsxe 1.7.0.zip Link----> emuparadise.me/Sony_Playstation_Emulators/Windows/ePSXe/20 next we need the bios files Link----> emuparadise.me/biosfiles/bios.html get the psx pack. Unzip epsxe onto your desktop or in your emulators folder if your organised! Now get your bios files and throw them zipped into your bios folder. Simples. Unzip them there. Note: If they unzip into a folder then cut them and paste them into the BIOS folder. K You should have a zip file called psx.7z Karl Johnson Im at work till 8 mate but nice1 for this pal gonna get right on that!! Buzzin mate!! Keith Massey K will carry on then! Just working through it myself again so np. After u unzip the bios files they will be in stupid folders so just cut them out and go back to the original psxe bios folder and paste them in there. At this point you can run epsxe but! We need a game first:-----link to follow!! you said u wanted resi ok lets get it! Link------> coolrom.co.uk/roms/psx/39631/Resident_Evil_-_Director%27s_Cut.php Now scroll down the page until u read -ALTERNATIVE DOWNLOAD LINK- now press it. You will have to wait 15 seconds for an advert to finish; then your link will present its self. Now download your game! At this point you will find your pc is struggling a bit with two instances of fpash adverts going on in the background so press ctrl , alt and delete to open task manager and end the flash process! :D Now were waiting for resi to download....... While u wait make a folder named roms in your epsxe170 folder. Time passes Bilbo starts singin bout gold! Gandalf goes East! ok its downloaded... Place downloaded Resident evil file into roms folder u previously created. it will be in 7 zip format. Unzip with 7zip or winrar! |Run epsxe by double clicking the little joypad icon and it should say error cant find zibdll blah blah go get it from here Link------> dll-files/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?zlib1 zlib1.dll free download - DLL-files dll-files Goto the right of the webpage where it says manual fix and scroll down and goto choose version. The first one that says 32 will do. When its downloaded unzip it into your epsxe folder. Now it actually unzips in a folder of its own so just like before go and cut it out and put it in epsxe without a folder. :D It also comes with a readme- just cut them and paste them back into epsxe170 folder and your set. Now run epsxe and it WILL work! Goto the pull down menu in epsxe and goto bios. It will search in your directory. Now unzip it and as usual take it out of its folder and place raw into the plugins directory! Keith Massey 16:05 Keith Massey Almost at the finish line my friend -----Now run epsxe again and goto config video and press the drop down menu and petes video plugin will be there to choose. Select the Petes ogl2 2.9 plugin and press the test button. Now press configure! Now you will see a large amount of stuff on this screen. Just pay attention to the bottom left of the screen where it says fast and nice. if you press nice it will give you awesome graphics, fast you guessed it very fast but a bit blocky. Choose to your taste. I just leave it as it is for now! Keith Massey 16:06 Keith Massey Next configure your pad!!! Goto config menu in epsxe then mouse down untill you get to gamepad, port 1 then pad 1----self explanatory setting your buttons up here. Mouse in the boxes and press your pad button to set it then goto ok. Now for the fun part! lets run the game. Goto File run iso-then goto your rom folder in epsxe and select Resident Evil! DONE! Phew!!! And thats how you set up a Playstation 1. Hope it wasnt too long. :D
