Our members come from the UK, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Syria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Morocco, Germany, France - and many more places around the world! It says in the Quran (49:13, to the nearest meaning): O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another (...) ...and it is under this motto that ISoc is proud to present her new International Cooking Classes! What? - ISoc members and friends share some of their favourite (vegetarian) recipes and demonstrate the preparation of the dish. Afterwards, there will be time to eat together. Where? - We will cook in the Islamic Prayer Hall kitchen in the chaplaincy. Depending on the size of the group we might eat in the Islamic Prayer Hall or the main part of the chaplaincy. When? - Saturdays, at circa 4:30pm, on an irregular basis (for exact dates and times, look out for announcements in the Warwick ISoc Facebook group or contact Jennifer). Who? - All welcome, regardless of faith background, gender or cooking skills. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please contact us before signing up for a given class. How much? - Participation is free, though we ask for a voluntary contribution of 50p per class to cover expenses. How do I join? - Places are limited, so prior registration is required. Please contact Jennifer (07413498196) if you would like to join as participant or even teach a class yourself.
