Bass Pro Shops to move into Crystal Palace Complex Cadillac Fairview has made the difficult decision to close a portion of the Crystal Palace complex, which includes the Crystal Palace Amusement Park, Ramada Plaza Crystal Palace Hotel and Convention Centre and McGinnis Landing Restaurant, to allow for a new development opportunity. This opportunity is the welcoming of Bass Pro Shops, an outdoor retail leader in camping, nature gifts, outdoor cooking and much more. Although we look forward to having Bass Pro Shops open, we are deeply saddened by the closure of this portion of the Crystal Palace Complex. This complex has been an iconic fixture in our community for 24 years and has been a great tourist attraction. We are pleased to share that we are working with Magic Mountain to ensure the rides remain part of the community for years to come. Effective end of day September 1st, 2014, the Crystal Palace Amusement Park will close.
