- I was just deleted by a girl. And normally when Im deleted, Im just like, Bye, Felicia. But this is one of the deletions I feel sad over. And I know a lot of you can relate to that feeling. Even though my interactions with this girl were very few, I was never anything but kind and friendly to her, for like 6 or 7 years. It sucks, but also, something like this can be kind of disillusioning. These are the moments that almost make me doubt that being nice is the most important thing...but, after meditating on this moment, I transcend the negativity the best I can, and that doubt goes away. Ill never stop being me or being nice, and to boot, I will still try to give a person like this the benefit of a doubt, because I realize that they may have removed me for non-malicious reasons, like random house-cleaning, or simply being no longer able to handle my awesomeness, or other. And, honestly, the reason Im posting this isnt for attention or sympathy. Its because ever since Robin Williams passing, Ive been thinking about how depression usually goes up in Winter, especially around Christmas time; so, with Winter upon us now, it worries me. And, I know, a lot of people want to shrug off Facebook friendships as not being a big deal, to many people they are a big deal and they are interchangable with real-life friendships. And theres definitely a cause and effect relationship between friendships ending, and sadness/depression, on one or both ends. And Im not saying this for me right now. Im saying this in hopes that everybody reading this will keep this type of thing in mind, and keep Robin Williams in mind. Be nice to people. Communicate with them. Be caring and warm, and dont let any person or circumstance take your spark away. Lets all get through this Winter, and every season that follows, together. And for crying out loud, dont delete somebody on a Friday...it can really shart all over their weekend.
