- Ive received quite a lot of requests for information on the boulderfield I developed just outside of Moreau Lake State Park, so I put together this video to show all of the routes being climbed. This area doesnt have the biggest and best boulders in the world, but the boulders that are there are all very clean, have pretty good landings, and feature some of the most fun movement Ive ever climbed. For being 15 minutes away from Saratoga, its a much better option than driving all the way to Lake George, especially if you only have a few hours. The only downside to this place is that its not actually in the park boundary, meaning it rests on vacant rural land owned by the town of Wilton. That being said, there is not a single posted sign in the whole wilderness, and there is even a parking lot for 10 cars with a blazed trail into the woods. Seem rather inviting doesnt it? So just have respect for the woods, pack out all trash, and dont make a big advertisement that youre back there. That being said, check out the video!
