->The Bahamas was awesome. It was hard to come back, especially to sub-freezing temps in Atlanta...brrr. The Bahamas reminds me a lot of Miami, but less chaos, more relaxation. The people were mostly pretty friendly. Mom and I talked extensively with some ladies selling jewelry on the beach. That was one of the highlights of the trip. We learned about life on the big island. Maybe Ill go live there for a few months. I think that would be fun. ->All over the island, there were lovely forests, flowers, and trees. And the water was so clear. Its the first time Ive walked waist-high in the ocean and could see my feet as I walked. I was able to see some fun fish!! One species was opaque white and shimmering various neon colors... green, pink, yellow (like a mother-of-pearl shell). They were the prettiest fish I ever saw. There was another much bigger fish with a long nose that kept hanging out near me, too. Im not sure what type he was, but he was very interesting-looking! It was cool to see these fish up close in their natural habitat, as Im used to seeing them only in aquariums before this... very cool! Much more to tell, but this is a good start.
