--This message to understand clearly why Nikola went to feed the pigeons instead of getting his medal.. it is very interesting and very understandable and shows the hypocrisy of some of his peers. (And please my dear friends, no Edison bashing like were 10 years old or something). I am just sharing this to give you a piece of Nikis mind...which i find fascinating... You propose to honor me with a medal which i could pin upon my coat and start for a vain hour before the members and guests of your institute. You would bestow upon me an outward semblance of honoring me, but you would decorate my body and continue to let starve, for failure to supply recognition, my mind and its creative products which have supplied the foundation upon which the major proportion of your institute exists. And when you would go through the vacuous pantomime of honoring Tesla, you would not be honoring Tesla but Edison who previously shared unearned glory from every recipient of this medal. Nikola Tesla
