-Ancient humans believed in rain gods, sun gods, moon gods, and many other Gods because they did not know the scientific facts behind these natural phenomena- they did not know that rain was caused by evaporation and humidity, that the sun was a gigantic nuclear reaction, that the moon was a massive rock in a gravitational orbit around our planet. Because ancient people lacked knowledge, they made up Gods as explanations for the way things worked. As time went on, less and less people believed in these Gods, because the world made more sense without them- ancient faiths, which were little more than uneducated guesses about the framework of reality, became superfluous compared to scientific fact. Hardly a surprise, then, that threatened monotheists persecuted many early scientists. Due to monotheism, many these ancient Gods of the weather and other naturally occurring phenomena have lost many of their followers, and now one idea- that of a "one true" God- encapsulates many of those ideas of other gods. Modern monotheism is, in many ways, the consolidation of ancient polytheisms. The ancient imaginary rain-gods and sun-gods are (for the most part) dead or dying, and there is only one God left- the God of everything. When the idea of that last singular God dies out in human culture, we can finally be free of that form of ancient ignorance, and achieve relative world peace as well as a great advance in human evolution. This is not a question of “if”... this is a question of “when”. This process is already happening, and it cannot be stopped without the extinction of humanity, which monotheist faiths (especially Christianity) subconsciously crave through a rapture or judgment day or apocalypse- the only way monotheists have to save their God is to destroy humanity before people stop believing in any God… Anarcho-Satanists refuse to let that happen. We will see this process of human advancement through, help it along where possible, and attempt to protect our species from extinction at the hands of the faithful.
