-Thanksgiving Meal Project- Dear UDC friends and family, We are pleased to partner with the Doves Nest in delivering Thanksgiving meals to less fortunate families in West Charlotte that cannot afford a good Thanksgiving meal. The Doves Nest currently needs about 10-12 volunteers with either vans, SUVs or pick up trucks to help deliver meals on Monday, Nov 25, the Monday before Thanksgiving. Some of you have already expressed interest in helping with this project. The details are below. Please respond to this email ASAP and let us know if we can count on you to help! I am believing that UDC will be able to step up to the plate and provide the needed help to the Doves Nest to bless these families in West Charlotte. Volunteer Driving Requirements · Timeframe: 9am – 1pm on November 25 (meet at Dove’s Nest, drive to 3-5 houses, come back to Dove’s Nest for reflection and refreshments) · 2 people or more to a car for safety purposes · Truck, Van or SUV to hold 7-10 plastic storage boxes · Cars will drive to the back of DN to the kitchen door at 9am · Plastic storage bins, frozen turkeys, bread and roasting pans will be placed in their vehicles for delivery · Mapquest directions will be given including, name, address and phone number for each delivery · We request drivers to return to DN once they’ve completed all deliveries -Pastor Josh
