-The National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, has revealed that former Deputy Prime Minister, Musalia Mudavadi, is poised to join Uhuru/ Ruto’s Cabinet. Speaking over the weekend, Duale noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, launched a campaign to unite the entire country and most especially reach out to regions that voted for CORD’s Raila Odinga to bring them on board. Duale noted that the recent visit to Western Province by President Uhuru Kenyatta was aimed at bringing the Luhya nation on board. He noted that Uhuru/ Ruto intend to appoint Mudavadi to the Cabinet to replace the embattled Lands Cabinet Secretary, Charity Ngilu, to appease the Luhya community before the December Senatorial by-election in Bungoma, in order to ensure Musikari Kombo, who both Jubilee and Amani are supporting, beats Moses Wetangula of CORD. “Mudavadi’s appointment could help Kombo win the by-election and that will be a big victory for Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee”, said Duale. “Mudavadi is a key leader and his appointment will help bring Western Province on board. The former Deputy Prime Minister will inject experience into Uhuru/ Ruto’s Cabinet after having served in various Government positions”, he continued.
