No matter what else you do, training, supplements sleep, the food provides the basic materials that build you. You are built only to the limit of the quality of your food. No matter how much you earn, you will survive and have health only to the quality of the food you eat. Neglect even a tiny part of it and you can never reach your potential. Every particle matters. If, for example, you ate even a couple of milligrams of cyanide every day, you would slowly wither and die. Cyanide is a protective poison in many plants. (Its the bitter taste you get from eating apple seeds fro example, but the dose is miniscule.) Being super poisonous it is the starting chemical on which numerous pesticides are based.
