-high atop a mountain in a cave on the Island Crete the three goddesses of the night Artemis, Nyx, and Hecate were at work doing great magicks. As the goddesses stood around a figure of clay it could be seen that it was of a boy with perfect features , from the curly design of his hair, to his plump heart shaped lips, and then his tall but lean body the goddesses had outdone themselves this time- Eat your hearts out Adonis and Narcissis-Hecate sneered as the goddesses put their finishing touch on the boy statue, the mark of the goddesses of night, the crescent-full-crescent mark was on the back of his neck so that all who saw him knew that he was a gift of the night- Sisters, I do think its time to bring the child to life. -Artemis, the hunting goddess chimed in as the night began to fade away welcoming their cousin Dawn - Right you are sister, but first we must each bestow our blessings upon him-Nyx, the vampire goddess agreed as the three goddesses formed a triangle around the statue - I give you the gift of knowledge of all things that is magic my child - Hecate was the first to give the blessing as a shimmering thread of magic left her body and entered the still lifeless body of the boy - I give the gifts of swiftness, accuracy in all that you do, and the ability to call to the animals of the wild should you ever need their help - like Hecate, Artemis gave her blessing and likewise a thread of the goddess entered the lifeless statue - And I give you gift of immortality as a vampire, and the gift of song -and thus when the all three goddesses gave their blessings, they breathed on the statue and watched as clay became flesh, fingers, toes, eyes, and hair. Once the statue had now become human, the goddesses clothed the boy in a simple silver tunic but before they left, they put the child to sleep and whispered into his ear and whispered as one - You shall be called nychta, our child of the night. And with the goddesses work done and the night over the three sisters went their separate ways once more -
