01 Aug 2013 A Union President must have the Courage to Lead! • Mr. Johnson won an election against a weak, short-sighted, lazy opponent. • The vote was a vote against Mr. Brown, not for Mr. Johnson. • Some of the supporters that wear the Solidarity shirt have admitted Mr. Johnson was weak and they don’t want Mr. Brown. • Mr. Johnson has never grown into the position of President. • He uses a hypnotic voice, says nothing, and will cut out if you press for an answer. • Filing an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) against the overhead cameras was psychological ploy to fool the membership. • Management has had this written agreement before the April 29, 2013 hearing. • We know this because it has been mentioned at focus class, there was one director who admitted to having it and almost gave it to me…someone warned him not to. • Mr. Johnson is like Santa, giving away our gifts (benefits/jobs/etc.)...VRC (blocker) is an example…take a look at his signed side letter. • We have a contract book, rule book, and other rules are posted on the wall…How bad is this settlement agreement that even the Authority is ASHAMED to show it? Beware of people who worship lies!!! The good people have to stand up and take their union back. Mr. Johnson should have fought to remove the overhead camera, and their was no reason to accept the overhead camera at all. The NLRB could have RESCINDED the overhead camera with the proper argument. Mr. Johnson swallowed a unilateral change. An employer cannot cure a unilateral change by offering to bargain after the fact. Once a new condition is in effect, the union’s ability to negotiate is UNFAIRLY diminished. The union DOES NOT HAVE TO ACCEPT an offer to bargain that does not include a promise to restore the existing state. This is called Fait Accompli (accomplished fact).
