We noted later that same evening in the Tower Hamlets Council Chamber a remarkable absence of any statements by any campaign against the Bedroom Tax. So the question is: what has been the “motivation” of those who claim to be against “Bedroom Tax” and then go on to say “Bedroom tax Evictions”? As part of the research that we carried out about that time, we examined the actual atmosphere that the “campaigners” who aligned themeless with a “banner” called TUSC held at the Oxford House. We again noticed that the atmosphere was one of complete and utter lack of engagement with the reality of what “Evictions” might be about. If there was an example of a gathering of chatters, that one would fit the tag! The “speakers” at a sitting were all undeniably not in any state of “suffering” from the alleged Bedroom tax or from any Evictions. One speaker, who had first SURFACED in Tower Hamlets as part of the George Galloway “appearance” in 2004-2005, spoke as if he knew all about the law, the court system and and about the “restraints” on the courts. He clearly said that the “Courts had to” evict people as the “law made them”. That was an utter lie. But it would have been totally pointless telling him that or telling that “meeting” that.
