03 July 2013 Dear Members, Parents/Students/School-Beneficiaries, Partners, Graduates and Friends, Greetings of joy ! On November 16, 2013, (Saturday), the Mother Laura Gertrude Seland Foundation, Inc. will celebrate its 10th Anniversary with the theme “ISANG DEKADANG PAGLILINGKOD” (A Decade of Service). The event will feature the following activities : 1. Photo Exhibit – historical background, our response to the struggles of families and their children, communities; 2. Video Presentation – a decade of service, highlighting the Foundation’s programs and services, areas of operation, accomplishments ,and future plans; 3. Thanksgiving Mass/Culminating Program – a gathering of members, parents, students, partners, friends, success stories of parent/school beneficiaries, graduates, cultural presentation highlighting on the theme “A Decade of Service”. The event will be held in the Senden Hall of the Asian Social Institute, 1518 Leon Guinto, Malate, Manila from 8:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. In this connection, we are coming out with a Souvenir Program to feature MLGSFI, its Vision, Mission, Goal, our response to the realities of Filipino families and their children, our partners and networking to effectively deliver the services and concrete impact as manifested in the lives of the families and their children we have worked with in the past ten years. We will highlight the beneficiaries of our educational assistance program which, through the years, has produced young professionals who are major contributors in the development of their companies. The major impact though is the visible difference in the lives of the families and their children as they struggled towards total human development. Silently but continuously, MLGSFI has developed local leaders who are effective agents of change in their own realities. Empowered by effective tools in organizational development, the families critically addressed the hindrances in their dream for their children. . MLGSFI looks beyond, a productive and self–reliant individual, family, community, able and worthy of managing a democratic economic system within the framework of socially–oriented services. We have done our best, but our best is not enough. The families and their children continue to dream. We dream with them. We are confident that our partners in our vision continue to dream with us.
