04 injured inroad mishaps Srinagar, May 12: Four persons were injured in two separate road accidents across the valley. An unknown Scarpio vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian near Petrol Pump, in the jurisdiction of police station Bijbehara, Anantnag. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment. Bijbehara police has registered a case in this regard. Meanwhile, a Tata-407 vehicle bearing registration number JK01B/4677 and an Auto bearing registration number JK01R/6053 collided near Radio Kashmir Crossing, in the jurisdiction of police station Kothibagh, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to 03 persons. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment. Kothibagh police has registered a case in this regard. School building damaged in fire Srinagar, May 12: Fire broke out in the Boys Middle School Deril Bala Vilgam; in the jurisdiction of police station Vilgam Handwara, resulting in partial damage to the school building. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders and Police. Man dies in train accident Body in Qazigund Hospital for identification Srinagar, May 12: An unidentified person came under a moving train last evening at Wangund, in the jurisdiction of Police station Dooru, Anantnag, resulting in his on spot death. The body is lying in Qazigund Hospital for identification. The deceased is about 40 years of age with beard and is wearing a black jacket and black and white sweater. Man missing in Baramulla Srinagar, May 12: One person is reported to be missing since yesterday morning, in Sheeri Baramulla. The missing person had left the home to offer morning prayers and since then has not been traced. Abdul Rashid Sheikh resident of Bonpora Fatehgarh, Sheeri reported in Police station Sheeri, Baramulla that on 11 May 2014 his brother 38 years old Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Ahad Sheikh went to a nearby Masjid to offer morning prayers but did not return back. Sheeri Police lodged a missing report and launched search to trace out the missing person. Anybody having any information regarding the whereabouts of the missing person may please contact Police station Sheeri 9596767711, 9622564440 or Police Control Room on Dial 100 219 Codeine Phosphate bottles recovered in Shopian 07 peddlers arrested Srinagar, May 12: Shopian police in its drive against drug addiction today arrested 07 peddlers and recovered huge quantity of Codeine Phosphate bottles from their possession meant for sale to the local youth in Shopian. Acting on a specific information, Shopian police today conducted many raids and arrested seven people, Jahangir Ahmad Mir, Showket Ahmad Najar, Reyaz Ahamd Reshi, Abid Hussain, Mohammad Iqbal Wagay, Shameem Ahmad Mir and Ashiq Hussain Mir. From their instances 219 bottles of Codeine Phosphate have been recovered so far. Shopian Police has registered a case FIR Number 103/2014 under section 8/21 NDPS Act and investigation has been started. More arrests and recoveries are expected
