07-12 / Matthew 7:12 / Chaplain Joe Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets THOUGHT: We don’t hear this much anymore because it this greedy society we live in today, it’s all about me and what I want. We have changed this to say; I want them to do good to me first, then I’ll respond accordingly, but that isnt the way it works. This principle of God is tied to sowing and reaping. Galatians 6:7-8 says it best that you will reap exactly what you sow. Some people are amazed at the lack of peace and joy in their lives but they only plant hate and discontent. We all have battles with the enemy, but if we do as the Bible says and keep on planting God’s love and forgiveness, our harvest time will surely come. Because this is a law or principle that God established, it works all the time for all mankind. (whether you believe the Bible or not) Remember “The golden Rule;” “Do unto others what you would have them do to you.” It works! PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I praise you for showing us your love by sending your one and only Son Jesus die in our place. No greater act of love has ever been revealed to mankind. Help others to see your love in our lives as we walk each day with you. Help us to not only remember the Golden Rule, but to live it. AMEN.
