09.09.2013 TAP-Portugal, a Portuguese airline company, is set to begin flying direct from Lisbon to the Cape Verdean island of Boavista from November. Boa Vista is the second most important tourism destination behind Sal in Cape Verde. João Inglês, a company representative on the West African archipelago, told the Lusa News Agency that TAP would be flying twice weekly similarly to the existing connection with São Vicente. The service will run on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the daytime due to the Aristides Pereira international airport lacking sufficient international standard lighting. Prices start from 487 EUR for return flight Lisbon-Boa Vista.
