09/25/13: The Upper Loop tour today saw elk, bison, mule deer, pronghorn, eagles and a coyote. Dunraven was open as we crossed 7 mile bridge when we had our last cell phone signal. By the time we got to Blowdown Hill, it was obvious that Dunraven was going to be closed, so we turned around. There apparently was some sort of pile up in the Virginia Cascades Drive, as Rangers were bringing traffic out the wrong way. The snow was beautiful, but had quit as we arrived at Swan Lake Flats, and had melted for our trip back. The rain for the most part was non-existent while we were outside, and the day was gray. A good mix of rain, snow and sleet off and on our way back.
