0nce something is broken, it will never again be good as new, and people really need to stop saying things like that. Those words do not bring comfort to anyone, and in fact they make whatever situation a great deal worse. platitudes are never helpful, and always damaging. the sad truth is, that seldom if ever do people actually care about , nor listen for the answer to how are you... because no one is willing to sit with someone whose answer is not so good, or lonely... it is not popular to do- but I would rather spend a year with someone just letting them vent about whatever is bothering them, or on their mind- than a minute with the sort of person who feels that sad people drain them.......
