#1 - This 100 mile Wilderness was beautiful as well as rugged, especially carrying 10 days of food #2 - Found a lake front camp site, great sunset. First time I ever heard loons. #3 - The distant mountain peak is Katahdin. #4 - This is Mount Katahdins boulder rock climb and Yes, you have to climb to the peak and another two miles to the actual top. Coming down was most precarious - scary in fact. #5 - While on top I had guest for lunch. A huge Raven. Never saw one up close before. Omen? #6 - One of the many remote ponds you pass on the trail. #7 - Above the cloud line from White Cap Mountain, another shot of Katahdin peaking through.
