1- I was bought up by my grandparents who were like my mum and dad, Sunny Te Whare and Kathleen Te Whare (nee Batley) where I spent most holidays in Otorohanga, TK, Mokau and New Plymouth. 2- While my grandparents would work I would go to my whangai grandparents Jackson (Dard) Martin and Wiki Martin (nee Houpapa) I would mow their lawn weekly until they both sadly passed away and forever treasure them dearly. 3- When I was born I was blessed to be seen by 3 of my great grand parents 2 of which would pass away in the next year. 4- My dad is one of 17. 10 boys and 7 girls. There are 100 kids off the 17. Reunions require army style prep and organisation and 3rd umpire is required for most sporting activities. 5- Our Tuwharetoa tribe converted to Catholicism due to our descendant Mariu/Te Kerehi, my uncle Max Mariu was our first Maori bishop. 6- My grandfather Sunny was also the eldest of 17 children. My uncle Rob was the eldest grandchild and I the eldest great grandchild of Pita Kino (kino kino) Te Whare and Erina Te Whare (nee Te Kena). 7- St Patricks school in Taumarunui is where most of us attended primary over the last 50 years. My grandfather and his brothers cut down the tree which is the Maori carved cross out front of the church and my Kui weaved a couple of the tuku tuku inside the church. 8- 9 of my dads 10 brothers attended Hato Paora one would attend Hato Petera with cousins to battle his brothers. My brother Jerry and I would also attend for one year. Dad and uncle Damian were ex head prefects and uncle john ex school dux so expectations were off the scale. A prefect badge in stinker year not a bad outcome and added pressure of expectation of uncle morv Simon to dictate on the rugby field due to dads and uncles rugby prowess. 9- I stopped drinking after my 21st as I did not like the person I would become under the influence as I twice put people in coma when I lost the plot so I went into the security sector to be held accountable for my actions and utilise my dark desire for physical confrontation in a positive way. 10- The Scorpio/Snake make up of my horoscope tend to lead others to believe I am secretive, private and hard to read but in reality I have little time for bullshit and deception so save your breath or move along. And beware of the strike if you dont heed the warning signs. 11- I am super protective of family and friends and at times beyond reasoning or rationality 12- I love my family, I know my god, I welcome death and I fear no man... PONO 13- My fav number is 13. I was born on All Souls Day. I have a strong link with the cultural and spiritual realm and supernatural activity P.s like for no number chur
