1.252 BILLION people live in India...of which 30% are of Poverty Line...thats 375 million people. Out of which Global Citizens hopes to diminish down to 0% people of Poverty Line by 2030 (just alone in India). Which means their goal is to save about 23-24 million people per year for the next 16 years in India. Which means their goal is to save about 2 million people per month or rather 65 thousand people per day...and this is just for the Country of India...THEIR MISSION IS FOR THE WORLD and this statistic doesnt include that number. Tom Cruise is on Forbes highest paid Actor lists making $250 million in 1 year...If I was making this much and I were to deduct a generous bare minimum lets just say 100 thousand dollars for my personal sustenance and give up 249 million, 900 thousand dollars to an Organization like Global Citizen out of my 1 year salary... I alone would be able to give a bit more than 3 thousand dollars or rather 236 thousand Rupees to each of the 65 thousand people under the Poverty Line per day that Global Citizens is trying to rid. It would be giving them 700 Rupees a day for at least 1 year of Survival. This would be the figures of just 1 Celebrity deducting 1 year in their GLAMOROUS lives... for 1 year of a LIFE ALONE for 65 thousand people! Now think about how many Celebrities you know of in the WORLD. 18 celebrities giving the same amount just gave 65 thousand people in India under the Poverty Line the sustenance to SURVIVE till they graduate HIGHSCHOOL and are now CAPABLE to START the REST OF THEIR LIVES INDEPENDENTLY...Ladies and gentlemen...we have saved 1 COUNTRY...NEXT ONE TO GO....We already have the money to make a change. I have, will and continue to dedicate my TALENTS in my life as a tool of LOVE for the underprivileged in my country...this 30% figure till it is down to 0%. LET US ALL IN WHATEVER WE ARE PURSUING IN LIFE HAVE OUR 1st MISSION TO TAKE OUR MONETARY GAINS and GIVE BACK TO THE UNFORTUNATE TILL THE WORLD IS ONLY FORTUNATE. Entertainment, Sports and Politics is where the majority of worlds money is put...YES? Well......these CHILDREN are the real CELEBRITIES because they have fought and struggled without the bare essentials needed in life to sustain even 1 day let alone every breath they take and they are yet to be paid for the DRAMA, MUSIC in their HEARTS, ACTION and POLITICS which they have played their roles and we have yet to capture on camera in their lives. This is an example of a child WHO DAZZLES LIKE A DIAMOND in my eyes and whose worth is deserving of Humanitarians in our society not just SPEAKING of GOOD WILL but PUTTING ACTION to their WORDS.- Nandini Raani Iyer
