1.7 million Palestinians in the Gaza strip wake up everyday terrified for their lives. Living under blockage in one of the most densely populated places on earth, they are now witnessing horrific violence like never before. As shelling rains down on hospitals, ambulances and homes, the casualties are rising, with 165 children pronounced dead so far. Over the past two weeks, hundreds of severely wounded Palestinians have been rushed to Al Shifa Hospital in extremely hot weather. Without proper air conditioning, the environment becomes almost unbearable, as patients and paramedics alike suffocate in intense and stuffy conditions.
