1 Cor 13:8 "Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away." ~ This scripture has been on my mind big time today. It is so easy to get caught up in thinking we have rights. When someone is mean to us or hurts us in some way it is human nature to be angry or upset at how the person has treated us. In reality we are all worthy of death. We have no rights. But there is a way to handle the situation with the person who has treated us with less than love. The way to do it is to love them. But love is an action. We have to show our love to the person. If it is really bad we can show our love from a distance by praying for the person. It is impossible to be angry with someone we are praying for fervently. It takes the sting out of the wrongdoing entirely. Once the sting is gone we should act in love towards the person, because love never fails. What is love? 1 Cor 13:4-8 says "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
