1 Corinthians 1:5 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. KJV We in Christendom should be proclaiming the same message. ...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that he arose again the third day according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) Paul writes in Galatians 1:6-9 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. KJV He is writing this to say that if we preach any other gospel other than salvation coming by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, let them be damned. If we add anything to the finished work of the cross and want to add our self righteousness then Christs death is in vain. Galatians 2:20-21 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
