1 Corinthians 12:27-31 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? Now eagerly desire the greater gifts. And yet I will show you the most excellent way. According to this passage, God designed gifts for the function of the church. (See verse 28 for list) The question is, are we recognizing and encouraging these gifts in the church today? What about Apostles? Does that responsibility still exist today, or was it reserved for the time of Christ and his disciples? Everyone doesn’t possess all the gifts. Yet with all of these gifts that are given through the power of the Holy Spirit, Paul suggests a “most excellent way (NIV). That way is Love as 1 Corinthians 13 goes on to describe.May your God do you good in this year 2015.Amen.Good morning?
