1 Corinthians 4:1-5 Thus should one regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the MYSTERIES OF GOD. Now it is of course required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. It DOES NOT CONCERN ME IN THE LEAST THAT I BE JUDGED BY YOU OR ANY HUMAN TRIBUNAL; I DO NOT EVEN PASS JUDGMENT ON MYSELF; I am not conscious of anything against me, but I DO NOT THEREBY STAND ACQUITTED; THE ONE WHO JUDGES ME IS THE LORD. Therefore, DO NOT MAKE ANY JUDGMENT BEFORE THE APPOINTED TIME, UNTIL THE LORD COMES, for He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will manifest the motives of our hearts, and then everyone will receive praise from God. 1. In real life, when you’re beside your loved ones who is on his/her deathbed, you would optimize giving her/him the confidence that everything would just be alright and that she/he could recuperate even if you’re aware that he/she’s on terminal ailment. Given this scenario, would you still discourage these people who believe in the confidence and grace of prayer for the dead? Why? 2. If there’s a choice that through your freewill you can design and establish a lifestyle that is rewarded with supreme blessedness right after your death, would you still limit yourself on a confined belief that second life is only recompensed on the Second Coming? 3. On the other hand, if Jesus Himself honors the sacrosanct intercession of the Saints and the Faithful for the departed, would you still be caged in a conviction that the death of your loved ones does not need prayers anymore? Why?
