1 Day - Fly Through It They say you need wings to fly above the crap. But isn’t the air polluted too? As much as I like to puncture my head hard into the sand on global issues, it’s simply not possible to run away from it. (certainly not unless we could buy an island…and even then, it could have a hurricane come in) I don’t think growing wings is for the purpose of escape, but rather to experience. If we could fly, what could we see? The problem is that parents tend to want their children to stay grounded. Get married appropriately, buy a house…get a ‘real’ job. That kind of isn’t my bag. I am the black sheep that way. I like to come at things from a different angle, boldly approach antiquated topics and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to discover! I had a blast working on the wings with Mark. We fumbled our way into building them for the Juggernaut video…painted acrylic feathers black…and figured out how to attach them to my back. Discovery and the journey are more important than the end goal. Thankfully, I gained that insight with this record as there is a lot to do. I don’t want to get hung up on the details (unless they are small parts on dolls’ faces). I hope this project inspires you to create, to discover and to fly to places you never thought of.
