(senior role) Global IT shared Services company Permanent Near KL Project Financial Control Analyst(Transition Program Management Office) Project Financial Control Analyst The financial analysis function supports the program control lead and is primarily responsible for monitoring and reporting on project budgets, financials, and benefits. The project control analyst responsible for financial analysis and benefits tracking should work closely with the project managers and/or team leads to assess project status from a financial perspective. The project control analyst responsible for financial analysis should have a strong knowledge of and extensive experience with the financial tools being used on the project. Position Title: Transition Program Financial Control Analyst Product Line: Transition, Transition and Projects Reports To: Transition Program Control Lead Overview: The Project Financial Control Analyst reports to the Program Control Lead and is primarily responsible for monitoring and reporting on project financial progress to assess project status from a financial perspective. Responsibilities of Position: 1.Transition Program Management Office Team member 2.In general this role will: a.Provide financial management expertise to project managers. This might include training, problem resolution, analysis b.Interface with contacts in Finance to ensure that there is communication between Finance and the Transition team 3. Set up of Program Financial Management structure. This will include a.liasing with the TE to create the work breakdown structure of the program b.collating and reporting on cost model budgets c.creating WBS codes and ensuring program WBS codes are included in all standard financial reporting d.providing training to PMs on how to manage the financials of their transition project. 4.Monitor, report and analyse project financials during the execution of the program. This will include: a.Preparation and analysis of weekly labour and cost reports b.Maintenance of budget and variation figures c.Collation of budgets, variations, actual, ETC, invoicing and other metrics to prepare Monthly Financial Transition reporting d.Analyse Monthly Financial Transition reporting and liaise with TE and Project Manager to identify and assist in resolution of issues. e.Identify projects that are required to attend various reviews, participate in reviews and track actions f.Work with PMs to ensure that standard process is followed when a project closes such as ensuring all costs have been received, WB code is closed etc Essential Skills and Experience •Previous experience assisting in project financial management and reporting •Strong administrative skills •Strong Microsoft Office skills – especially Excel •Strong interpersonal skills •Able to work independently and meet deadlines •Team player who is very proactive •A basic understanding of Project Management
