1) Its no wonder white people cant handle talking about race when the Vermont-bound plane they boarded in Detroit needs maintenance and its absolutely the most offensive thing thats happened to them in the last few weeks. Louis is on point. 2) As soon as you get to the gate for Vermont, its all about old people wearing 25-year-old crew neck sweatshirts, eating homemade muffins out of ziplock bags, seemingly deaf to the loud ringing but visibly struggling to check backlogged voicemail and call their ride on the flip phone kept in the glove compartment and I say to myself: this is definitely the right plane. These are my people. Work to be done.
