1. My 11 week old dd is starting to get a flat head because she will always turn her head to that side to sleep the health nurse said put a nappy under her so she goes to the other side Ive tried that and she still ends up on the flat side she will fight until she can lay that way!! Any tips?? 2. Our 10 week old has reflux which is at its absolute worst at night time, from 7-10pm he is pretty well screaming in pain the whole time. He is EBF and Our appt with paediatrician isnt for another 2wks. In the meantime, my midwife and the pharmacist suggested doing the 6pm feed with karicare anti reflux formula to see if it settles his tummy for the night.. Has anyone else tried this? Successful or u successful? Im happy to do this one feed of formula but dont want to give up breastfeeding 3. My DS 8.5months is still BF 3xday (& overnight if needed) aswell as 3 solid meals & 1 snack. For the past few weeks when BF he pulls the whole time, when I try to push him closer to the breast he really resists. It seems this is his preferred latch now?! I have no great desire to stop BF but it does hurt (he really stretches the nipple) & I wonder whether this means my supply is dropping? How do I know whether its time to move to formula? He wakes at least twice a night, usually just for the dummy or comfort. Any advice or help greatly received. 4. I was just wondering if any one can suggest businesses that make covers to fit a safe and sound car seat. ***Please remember SIDS recommendations*** 5. Just woke up to find my 8 week old had kicked himself around in his sleep and had his foot protruding out of the side of his cot. Is there anything else I can do to stop this from happening again? 6. Im due with my second bub in August and Im thinking about breast feeding this time. I formula fed my first and not because I couldnt breast feed but that I just didnt. I dont want any speech about the whole breast is best I just want to know is it really as hard as it seems? Ive read up on the correct latching and what to eat/not to eat etc. But its been very off putting when all I read is people struggling to get their babies to latch properly or to self settle or to drink formula after 6 months. My first is a complete angel and always has been. 7. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with taking baby for barium swallow and meal. My 17 wk old has been sent for one by paed and am doubtful she will drink the liquid. They are finding it difficult to find an appt around her feed times and I am a little stressed about the fact she will not be hungry. Any experiences or feedback would be much appreciated.
