1. Patrick Schneider – Pat retired on December 19, 2014 after serving the citizens of the Township for over 35 years. Pat worked in our Utilities Department during his entire employment. Pat is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Pat and his wife Mary reside in Charlotte and just plan on enjoying retirement. 2. Stephen Gilreath – Steve retires after 24 years of service to the Township. Steve works in the Building Division as a Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector. Steve attended Lansing Community College and is a journeyman plumber by trade. Steve has two children, Jennifer and Christopher and one grandson, Kyler. Steve and his wife Kathy (who you will meet in a few minutes) will retire on January 23 and they are heading to the southwest to enjoy their retirement in Oro Valley, Arizona. 3. Sally LaCross – Sally is also retiring on January 23 after serving the Township’s citizens for over 22 years. Sally works in our Accounting Department, where she began as a part-time employee in 1992. Sally went full-time in 1998 and has served as our cashier during her tenure. Sally and her husband Ron live in Delta Township. They have three children, Ami, April, and Nathan, and five grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, Will, Aden, and Ethan. Sally plans to continue her volunteer work at Sparrow Hospital after her retirement and enjoy her family. 4. Kathy Gilreath - Kathy is also retiring on January 23 after serving the Township’s citizens for over 16 years. Kathy is the Department Assistant in the Manager’s Office, where she has worked for the past five years. Prior to that, Kathy worked in the Fire Department as the EMS secretary. Kathy has one son, Dan, who lives in Tucson, Arizona. Kathy and her husband Steve will be driving to their new home in Oro Valley, Arizona next weekend. We want to wish all the retirees the best and thank them for their years of devoted service to the citizens of Delta Township.
