1. Paying at the register of the well kept dinner, the woman bursts through the door, looks at me with a nice smile and tells me: It is three of us, I am waiting for them, can we have a sit by the window?. 2. My neighbor during one of our initial crammed elevator rides: It is a lot of you guys in that little apartment. I did not bother to explain my family was visiting. Now we are good hello-good bye-I hold the elevator while you get the mail buddies. I could list 100 of these little encounters... These are innocent comments, I do not hold them accountable, it is an embedded idea of the world, and I am not fully innocent of stereotyping others. It does not hurt at all, I find it amusing.
