1. THE SAME GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO ALL GENERATIONS. After Adam - TopicsExpress

1. THE SAME GOSPEL WAS PREACHED TO ALL GENERATIONS. After Adam and Eves fall, the gospel was preached to both of them – (Genesis 3:15). They were the only human beings that existed then. Jesus became the LAMB slain from the foundation of the earth for Adam and Eve at that point of time – (Revelation 13:8). Salvation to them was through JESUS CHRIST alone – (Acts 4:12). HE took Adam and Eves sins and penalty (wages) of sin upon Himself, as if HE was the sinner – (2 Corinthians 5:21). JESUS became their sin bearer, so that no child (baby) bears their sins and eternal death – (Ezekiel 18:20). An innocent unblemished LAMB symbolized JESUS CHRISTS death at Calvary was killed to atone for Adam and Eves sins. When Christ actually became human and died at Calvary 4,000 years later, the animal sacrificial offerings then ceased for forever – (Daniel 9:24-27). Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins – (Hebrews 9:24). 2. THE FIRST GENTILES TO BE SAVED BY GRACE 4,000 YEARS BEFORE CALVARY. Adam and Eve were the first Gentiles who were saved by grace through faith in JESUS CHRIST after confession and repentance from sin – (1 John 1:9; Proverbs 28:13; Ezekiel 18:21). What an amazing grace! God spared their lives “temporarily” to give them another opportunity to become immortal again. Abel, another Gentile saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ – (Genesis 4; Hebrews 11:4). Enoch also, a Gentile saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ – (Genesis 5:23-24; Hebrews 11:5). Noah, another Gentile became the heir of righteousness which is by faith in Christ – (Genesis 6; Hebrews 11:7). They all lived before the flood and the same gospel was preached to them. 3. JESUS CHRIST WAS THE CENTER OF THE OLD TESTAMENT GOSPEL “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever” - (Hebrews 13:8). The Old Testament was centered upon Jesus Christ who was to become incarnated and die at Calvary – (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21-23). He was the suffering servant predicted in Isaiah 53:1-10. Moses and the prophets wrote about Jesus Christ - (John 5:39, 46). In the New Testament, Jesus Christ became the living Word; the way, the truth; and the life – (John 14:6). God [Emmanuel) became flesh and dwelt among us to save us from sin – (John 1:1, 14; Matthew 1:21-23). Whether you lived before or after the cross, still you cannot be saved by any other means, except through Jesus Christ alone – (John 3:16; 1 John 5:11-12). Salvation was, and is, on the same basis, in all generations. The Jews were not saved differently from the Gentiles, nor from the Greeks, nor from the Romans. 4. THE SAME GOSPEL PREACHED TO US TODAY, WAS PREACHED TO THE JEWS Hebrews 4:3 says, “For unto US was the gospel preached, as well as unto THEM; but the word preached did not profit THEM, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” Abraham was saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ – (Hebrews 11:8). God says to Abraham, “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast OBEYED my voice.” - (Genesis 22:18). God further says to Abraham, “I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all nations of the earth be blessed. Because that Abraham OBEYED my voice, and kept my charges, and my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.” - (Genesis 26:4-5). 5. SUMMARY The gospel that was preached to Adam, Eve, Abel, Enoch, Noah, the antediluvian population; Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Caleb, Joshua, Rahab, Daniel, Elijah, Jeremiah, Isaiah in the Old Testament; was the same gospel preached to Peter, Paul, and Cornelius (the Roman soldier) in the New Testament after Christs death. It is the same gospel preached to us to day. Jesus Christ is coming back as KING of kings, LORD of lords, and GOD ALMIGHTY to take the faithful to heaven – (Revelation 21:6-7; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:11). Revelation 22: 14 speaks of the faithful to be taken to heaven: “Blessed are they that DO His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” May each one of us make Jesus Christ our CREATOR, RE-CREATOR, SIN BEARER, REDEEMER, SAVIOR, LORD, KING OF KINGS, AND GOD ALMIGHTY.
