We believe, that missing the opportunity to sign the Agreement during the Third Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, due to take place on 28-29 November, may eventually mean putting on hold the entire process of Ukraine´s rapprochement with the EU for indefinite time. We believe, there is still time to change that direction. The majority of the Ukrainian people are in support of the European direction of their country. Lithuanian youth in general and youth organisations have played a significant and positive role in supporting Lithuanian euro-atlantic integration. This support was important having in mind that Lithuania on its European path has also faced many challenges and pressures to divert from it. Today, after almost 10 years of the EU Membership, being the Presidency of the EU Council, 2 we may confirm, that European path is not an easy one, it requires continuous efforts and firm political backbone, but the progress of the country is much more durable and credible and, most importantly, free of blackmailing. Ukraine is part of Europe, and on today´s decisions depends the future of your country. The young generation can and should take part in deciding upon its own future. Our hearts are with Ukraine and we support you.
