1(b) Describe the leadership roles in an organization to provide patient care. Roles of leadership : 1. To set goals for subordinates - a leader gives guidance to the group by setting and interpreting their goals. 2. To coordinate individual and organizational goals - a leader reconciles individual and common objectives. His /her main job is to develop voluntary cooperation among employees. 3. To motivate employees to perform allocated tasks. 4. To maintain order, discipline and creates positive response on the part of members of the group. 5. To represent the group to his /her superiors and peers.
