1 mile sea Race ! in and around Wicklow harbour. I came 108 out of 131. I am usually 2nd or 3rd last!!!!! My first race without a noseclip, it was kinda sorta unpleasant but not really that bad. Three sea swims without one during the week sorted me out this was my 9th sea race and Im loving them, the craic and banter is marvellous. A few photos of Wicklow harbour and the insane sprint finish to the ladies race. The yellow caps are the local club and the noise on the pier was deafening!!! The cake was part of my Aprè Swim snack, it was a type of pavlova and was joined in my stomach by an apple, a mandarin orange, 4 eggs scrambled, 2 wholemeal slices of toast and two mugs of strong tea. An afternoon by the sea and a mile swim in it leaves you with a hell of an appetite.
