10:00 PM....probably one of my favorite songs, as I have dedicated this a few times before as you know. This one, I call the love and fix-it advice song, because it tells you EXACTLY what you need to do for you to have the life back from this summer - a life I thought you wanted. A life with the man you loved more than anyone - who was so far ahead in first place with you - a man you called your handsome prince - a man you called your BEST FRIEND and the love of your life (I love looking back on our story...). Please understand babe, none of these song dedications or sweet love notes means things have to change tomorrow. They dont. I promised you - a year or a day, etc. I will wait. My chance, that I keep asking for, is, as you know, to re-start things - a do over - a second chance to FALL in love again. As amazing as this summer was, at no time did I say we fell in love overnight. We both knew pretty early on, but it was a couple weeks at least. So what if it takes us a couple or few months now? We have built the foundation already. No need to hash through the gee, whats your favorite food or whats your favorite color. Now, we can focus on the meat and potatoes of a relationship and BUILDING the pedestal we spent so much time and care making the foundation for. If I didnt mess things up, where would we be tonight? Think about that. Because clearly you were ok with where they could have been. And thats all that I am asking for - for you to get out of the rest stop and back into the car on our interstate. There is SO much life waiting for you, babe. So many blessings I want to give you and the family. And being in your arms is the only blessing I ever want. And what I would say to you?...Like the song: hold onto me when your worlds turning cold, when you feel like your lifes spinning out of control, youre hoping, praying, trying so hard to believe....hold onto me when theres no middle ground, and every emotion is coming unwound, and you dont know if you can hold onto your dreams....baby, you CAN hold onto me...
