10-05-2014 The Department Of Foreign Languages, University Of Benin: Foreign Languages Students Association: PACE SETTERS EXCO 2012/2013 SESSION: Press Statement It is with a great sense of appreciation that, we, the Pace Setters EXCO 2012/2013 academic session wish to thank our esteemed lecturers, students, alumni and corporate bodies for your wonderful support in 2013 which was quite hectic but successful as Department of Foreign Languages recorded so many milestones. We successfully hosted an International Conference with participants from far and wide... Under the leadership of the Pace Setters Exco, the Foreign Languages Students Association upgraded to a big united family, also produced her own souvenirs, hosted for the first time her own matriculation party with her own stand. For the first time also, FOLSA produced Faculty of Arts Students Association Interim PRESIDENT [COMR. ISIAKPONA PETER NKEJIKA] and Faculty of Arts Students Association SPEAKER [RT. HON. ONYEMAZUWA JUDE OKWUOSE] We also built our own notice board in the central lecture theater (C1-C4). We also produced the best student in NFLV, Badagry [ONOVUGHE EMMANUEL], COCA-COLA BEST WRITER OF THE YEAR [ALASA GILBERT], BEST FEMALE FOOTBALL TEAM, E.Y.C OUTSPOKEN PERSON OF THE YEAR(COMR. OSERIEMEN MAJEKODUNMI). We also had 2 beautiful holy solemnization [MR AND MRS TERRY OSAWARU/MR AND MRS JIMOH BRAIMOH JNR] ON THE FORTHCOMING DEPARTMENTAL ELECTION: The Pace Setters Exco counts it of great importance to publicly announce that: * On the 12th day of May, 2014, the students of the department of Foreign Languages, University Of Benin, shall with their thumb decide the new officials of the departmental Executive Council that shall pilot the welfare of the students of Foreign Languages for the 2013/2014 session. * The incoming Executive Council shall take over from the COMRADE Bobbipetrus Isiakpona Nkejika led Pace Setters Exco 2012/2013. * In advance, we, the members of Pace Setters Exco, do urge the emerging officials to, in the spirit of stewardship, make the welfare of the students the basis of their decision-making...
