10/21/2014 - 9:30 PM - UPDATE Val was asleep when I got there. I think the second Augmentin pill and a bed bath put him to sleep. PT came in and Todd and I got Val up - sitting on the side of the bed and then he used the slider board to get into the wheelchair. Even though Val was weak, I didnt really have to help with the sitting up part. He did it by himself - with instruction. You have to remind him each time what he is supposed to do - part of the brain injury. Todd got him started on the slider board and then was able to do most of the rest himself. Todd and Jake had to help him get straight in the chair. They took him to the gym and he stood up twice. They were trying to get him to do more of the work getting up. He did pretty well. After his lunch, which he ate about 50%, OT came in and used Diathermy on his right shoulder. After all of this activity, he was ready to get back to bed. He immediately went to sleep. Hope this med does the trick and clears up his lungs. Lord, please heal Val.
