10/3/13 at PS Inc. I thank God for my family every day. It is nice that I can sit and talk to my mom and sis when things stress me out. My sister knows most of the characters well and understands what I am saying when I talk about what goes on at this company, because she used to work there. She became friends with Geri. When I told her about the hookup between her friend and the supervisor, her face crinkled as she cringed at the thought of them together. Actually, I think sis and mom look forward to the saga at PS Inc. A few weeks back, Alarmed from what she just heard, Penny came to me early in the morning to relay the news. Terrence kicked Geri out of his car and made her walk to work. Simply because she allowed her son to use her car until he got his fixed. At 6:00 AM, Geri climbed a hill of the busy highway before she called crying to Betty Baker. Betty quickly drove from her house five miles away to pick Geri up and then drove to work ten miles away. All day, Geri worried where she would go now because Terrence has not only kicked her out of his car but also out of his house. At the end of the day, she asked Terrence if she is riding home with him. He drove off without her. She started to walk towards the road intending to see her previous landlord. I stopped her to offer a ride. As I drove, she told me more than what I wanted to hear. I found out that Terrence could not stop talking about me. According to Geri, the man had an infatuation with me. The thought makes me sick. A few days later, everything is just fine and dandy again in Geri’s world. Terrence can do no wrong. Excuses for him are unlimited. Personally, if a man kicked me out of a car and one of my sons found out about it… Uh… Nope too messy to even think about. Thursday September 26th Marty told the boss this is his last day. He got another job. :( For us but :) for him. Friday, September 27th. We are close to making our goal, so the next step, layoffs. A thought came to me as I worked alongside of Junior (the boss’s son), remembering my conversation with Geri the week before, so I asked… “About what comes next, will we all be laid off at once, or do you plan on laying off one at a time?” He said, “I don’t really know you will have to ask my dad.” I said, “I only ask because I don’t want to end up last and alone with Terrence.” Junior said with a chuckle, “I don’t think that will happen.” Monday, September 30th. Geri, asked to speak with me. Wearing a smile from ear to ear, as she said, “Terrence says there is nothing else for anyone to do so he wants to layoff everybody but you and me because we know how to run all the machines.” What a way to start my week! I responded coldly, “What about Betty? She knows just as much as we do!” Geri hunched her shoulders. I added, “Geri, You have Thursday and Friday off! I refuse to work with T by myself!” She shrugged again but said, (the dim light bulb lit) “OH well… maybe it won’t happen that way.” “It better not!” I said Later that day I made a point of telling Mr. P it is only fair to lay us all off together. Today October 3, 2013 We have slowed down to practically no work. Terrence went into Mr. P’s office. He came out steamed. I said to the girls, I wonder what time our meeting will be. Gabi laughed, and said, “HA yea right” meaning they never share info with us. In all fairness, Gabi likes to be the center of the meeting. She always interrupts. Which without a pause, she did when Mr. P gathered us together fifteen minutes later. Mr. P rolled his eyes and continued. He said that next week would be the end. During our 2:30, break (2:10 real time) Gabi could not wait to tell me what Terrence told Betty. Terrence walked into the office. He claimed there is nothing more to do. He only needed Geri, Betty and me to finish up. All the rest they should layoff. Junior immediately denied his request. He said everyone will get a layoff at the same time and Mr. P agreed. What a friggen relief! I walked into Mr. P’s office after break to confirm. I am sure I pissed Terrence off because when I came out of his office, Terrence stood close by my work area and proceeded to accuse me of not doing my job right. Hmmm (jerk weed, she whispers) ya can’t fool me :p ANYWAY Next week (Friday) will truly be the end. Betty’s puppy needs neutering. At first, she said she will not be in at all next week but then she said she will try to make it in for a few days but could not promise she would be there Friday. Hopefully Tiny will be there. SO On Friday, when I pull into that parking lot and the only car in it is Terrence’s, this girl will not even park the car. I will head on down the road to Mom’s all per her request. I guess she wants a happy conclusion.
