10:30 Am (Local Time) Compassion, Kindness, Mercy I needed some - TopicsExpress

10:30 Am (Local Time) Compassion, Kindness, Mercy I needed some time to reflect on this last session with Sh Yahya Adel Ibrahim. After this session the sheikh is leaving for Madinah, so naturally this last session was a heartfelt one, one filled with gems upon gems upon gems. And if you look at the picture below of my notes, you will see that i have 3 pages worth of gems, that I wish I could share every bit of it with you. So I will share something short and quick so you all may benefit. Muslims today are the harshest towards others, we are aggressive, we tend to be rude and we are often seen caring about our pride over humility. The sad nature of us though, is that the most religious amongst us, sometimes the most knowledgeable, tend to be the harshest amongst us, we are less focused on humanity and more focused on the self. The true servants of Allah are those who walk the earth with humility, and when the ignorant ones initiate a harshness towards them, their response is smaller than what they received, because that is from the sunnah of RasoolAllah (s). Not to be more oppressive than the one who has oppressed. We are an Ummah of resilience, we are an Ummah that would rather be oppressed then to oppress, it is an honour for us to endure slander, hardships, from others and you do so with inner strength and nobility. Knowing that we have been burdened ya Allah, but success is only with You. So much so that your enemy finds respect with you, when they witness our response. Unfortunately these are the gems lost deep inside our societies and communities. If someone is harsh to us, we must show a response which is even more than what we received, that is not the way of RasoolAllah (s). Let us work to revive the intricate details of the character of RasoolAllah (s). One filled with compassion, mercy, and kindness.
